okay, first of all can I just tell you how hard it is a plan a wedding in 3 months... with almost no money. Thanks to my hard working mother and brother (plus a LOT of help from friends... mainly sister Handy YOU ARE A SAINT) I think we may actually pull it off.

I know it is clique of me to want the perfect wedding in my condition, but I am still a girl people! Up until the day I knew we were getting married I had always planned on some super natural wedding with tree branches as center pieces and a lot of mellow toned tans... buttt of course the minute it was official that went out the window! I wanted a bright happy summer wedding.

I of course plan on posting pictures of the actual thing.. but in case it is a train wreck, I'd like to share my vision and I'll let you decide just how much it did NOT match up!

The wedding is 33 DAYS AWAY! And Colton and I are so excited! I have decided to do a pale yellow and sapphire blue back yard wedding (: So far these have been my inspiration...

It is all coming together and like I already said, I'M EXCITED! Of course we are on a budget, so we will a lot of it will be DIY which I like.

We bought blue paint last night and we are going to goodwill to get some picture frames. I bought my wedding shoes from amazon for $33.00 (cannot wait to see them)
A couple weeks ago we bought a bunch of mason jars from goodwill and we are having a friend do the vinyl A+C as well as the vinyl "I Do" for my shoes (:

Sister Handy is SEWING all the vests for 6 groomsmen and 2 ring bearer AND my wedding dress (like I said, she is a SAINT!)

And we plan on buying white flip flops and gluing blue flowers on them for the flower girls. Who are also having dresses made from tulle (and will probably cost $20.00!)
The most expensive thing I have bought so far... and yes I am including my wedding dress... is the Bridesmaid dresses, which we found on Alibaba for $62.00.

I will keep you posted as a come up with new ideas and what not... but with 33 days until the big day... I doubt there is going to be much time for blogging!

True Love

Many people have been concerned with mine and Colton's intentions with our decision to get married... Colton's father told him it was a mistake, and people have told me I am crazy to think we'd make it.

The honest truth, I know.
If you told me 5 months ago I'd be married by March, much less having a baby by June.. I'd basically laugh in your face. I was enjoying the singles life, hanging out with different guys and having a crazy amount of girls nights. Life was good. Colton lived 800 miles away, I hadn't seen him in YEARS and he had a girl.

But for all you people out there who believe in a God (as do I) he had a plan in mind for Colton and I...
When we found out we were going to be parents the obvious conversation of marriage arose. But NEITHER of us wanted to do it solely for that little boy... we didn't want to make our self unhappy down the road and drag a child through a divorce. For obvious reasons.

Much to my surprise, I fell in love with that boy. The way he treats me, the way he talks to me, the respect he has for my family and his drive to never give up. I will stand by that to anyone who tries to belittle what we have. Our circumstances may not have been traditional, but who's situation ever is?!

A Christmas Engagement!

Colton spent Christmas with my family. Among a bunch of my families closest friends we all have a night full of games, food and Just Dance.

Christmas morning here was at my house bright and early! He had only a few gifts under the tree... but I hope he knows how hard it was for me to find those gifts! haha.

The day after Christmas he asked me if I wanted to pick out a ring. We had talked about it a lot before, but we wanted to be 100% sure we were doing what was right for us AND the baby. As much as we both wanted to be in the babies life... we didn't want it to suffer from our mistakes.

We didn't announce it to everyone until we had the rings back from being fitted and needless to say mine is beautiful!

WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!
